The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Branch organised an activity day in Portsmouth for some of our young people.

The day was funded by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Branch to enable some of our younger service users to meet with others in a similar situation - something that we feel is really important.

The day consisted of team-building activities which included working together as they created a human pyramid. Did we mention that they did this all whilst balancing on a paddleboard - they absolutely smashed this challenge.

They also had to work in pairs to build a tower whilst hoisted in the air putting their coordination and teamwork skills to the test.

One of the attendees, Poppy said:

"I loved how fun the activities were and how great it was to meet new people."

The team also tried their luck at archery which some of the adults were able to get involved in.

It is really great to be able to host an in-person event again as they are so valuable for our community.

"I have been a Youth Worker at the Huntington's Disease Association for nine months and this activity day is one of my highlights. It was a real joy to be able to bring some of our younger service users together for a day of meeting new people who are in a similar situation and trying new things together as a community. It was a very special day for all who attended."
