In 2017 HD Awareness Week is 15 – 21 May
We know Huntington’s disease is a much misunderstood condition. We believe this means people with the illness and their families don’t always get access to the care and services they should.
People often tell us that living with Huntington’s disease in the family is like living under a shadow.
We want that to change.
During Huntington’s Disease Awareness Week, you can help bring Huntington’s out of the shadows.
During the week, we want to:
- Reach more people who have been living in the shadow of Huntington’s disease to show them that advice and support is available;
- Raise awareness of Huntington’s disease amongst the public and reach people who may never have heard of the disease before.
