Young Adults Conference

The Young Adults Conference is held in February or March each year. It is an opportunity for young people to come together, listen to talks, get involved in workshops and generally meet other people who also have HD in the family. The conference was held for the first time in 2009 and is constantly evolving based on the feedback that is received from participants. The young adults conference is for people aged 18-35.

“The opportunity to come and meet with others whose lives are affected by HD has quite literally been a life changing experience. Before this weekend I thought I was the only one with this weight and burden. I saw no point in working, I saw no future. This weekend has changed that – I’ve heard about the hope for the future, I’ve spoken with people who have tested positive for HD but are making a difference both in their own lives and in the HD community – I am determined to be one of those people.” (AB aged 28)
